Into Oregon.

10 out of 10 for the tent! It rained all night, 10 hours in total. With gale force winds and the creaks and groans of the overhanging tress, it was a noisy nasty night. Early start 06.30. Breakfast, then off up towards Kalaloch.

We smell great! A very ‘flavoursome’ journey. Stopped in Forks where Julia found stripped dungarees for her Father. She has checked in every store this side of LA, finally success.

Stopped at Ruby beach, beach 3 and beach 4 and Kalaloch for a walk.

Short walk at Lake Quinault. Decided to head on towards Oregon as the weather was cloudy and wet.

Went through the ‘oyster capital of the world’

Weather was miserable. Rain and fog lowered lights levels so everything had a soft grey sheen. Along the Oregon coast. So Oregon has been synonymous with rain!

Stayed at the Lands End Motel in Cannon Beach. Fire and sea views. Supper at Doogers, a real red neck seafare establishment. Cajun Oysters, followed by a mix seafood platter and a snickers cheesecake, all washed down with an alcohol free Zinfandel. Julia had a fresh piece of salmon and a glass of Oregon Merlot
