Sloan Foundation Scholarship - official notification

Received the official notification today (Wednesday) Still completely bowled over. As it settles in, I realise how honoured I am to have been awarded this scholarship. It is an amazing privilege. I have been awarded $31,000 to cover tuition costs. I am lost for words - so if you know me that is quite a surprise!

So have been walking round campus grinning like a cheshire cat. Morning seminar on Insurance. A necessary evil in this highly litigous environment.

Met up with Jim McBride over lunch. We had a great conversation.

Rushed back to the AFI for our boot camp casting. Fairly abitary affair as we are allowed to select five people for each role and then call our favourites. There is no formal audition process for this exercise.

Afternoon pottered around college. Popped into the library to pick up a couple of DVDs. Helped up by Gladys....

...and Cami.

In the evening went to an advanced screening of Paul Haggis new film 'In the Valley of Elah' - very powerful and provocative, a great anti-war film.
